Judith's practice is restricted to personal injury including traumatic brain injuries, orthopaedic injuries, spinal cord injuries, complex chronic pain cases and death claims. Practice areas include motor vehicle litigation, disability insurance claims, accident benefits claims, products liability claims, dangerous premises claims, insurance matters, and historic sexual abuse claims. Judith has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal, as well as tribunals including the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.

Judith is President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. Judith is also one of two Ontario governors on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice (AAJ). Judith is an active member of the OBA Working Group on Auto Insurance, which is dedicated to affecting positive changes to auto insurance in order to protect the rights of innocent accident victims.

Judith has published a number of articles and has presented seminars in the area of personal injury litigation for numerous associations including the Ontario Trial Lawyers' Association, Insight, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Law Society of Upper Canada. In 2005, Judith had the distinguished honour of being one of only four Canadian lawyers invited to speak in the main program at the prestigious Association of Trial Lawyers of America conference (now the AAJ). Judith previously hosted a weekly TV legal news show on ETM Network -- “Looking At Law”. In 2008, Judith was nominated for the RBC Momentum Award through the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards.

Judith was called to the Bar in 1997 and is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario Law School (1994). She also obtained her Honours B.A. in English and Anthropology at the University of Western Ontario in 1989.

Outside the Office
Judith is an avid traveller and photographer, having travelled to all six of the world's inhabited continents. When at home, quiet time is devoted to classical music, literature, her two rescue greyhounds (Pyramus and Thisbe), and her extensive gardens. Judith's previous experience as a world leader in the fitness industry has now evolved into a fulfilling dedication to yoga and personal fitness.

As a native Londoner and Southwestern Ontarian, Judith is involved in community projects including:

  • Share the Road Campaign (ride to heighten awareness about the need for drivers and cyclists to share the road safely, and the importance of creating safer roads for cyclists);
  • Helmets on Kids Campaign (annual event to put bike helmets on children at schools within the City of London)
  • Sponsorship and fundraising events for Parkwood Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, Orchestra London, the Grand Theatre, Stratford Festival, Doors Open, Museum London, and other arts & community projects

An amateur pianist and lover of the arts, Judith was a director on the Board of Directors for Orchestra London for 3 1/2 years, until November 2008.

Kim completed her articles at Judith Hull & Associates, and following her call to the Bar in 2009, she returned as an associate lawyer. Kim's practice is focused on representing plaintiffs in personal injury litigation, including disability insurance, occupiers' liability, motor vehicle litigation and accident benefits claims. Kim also represents clients who are survivors of historic sexual abuse.

Kim was born and raised in London, Ontario. She obtained her law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2008. Before attending law school, she completed an Honours B.A. in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario.

During her time at law school, Kim enhanced her education by coordinating Pro Bono Students Canada, a national organization matching law student volunteers with not for profit organizations in need of legal research. She also valued her time spent in Community Legal Services providing legal services to individuals in the community.

Outside the office
Kim maintains strong ties to the London community. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the London and District Distress Centre, an organization providing assistance to individuals in distress. In her down time, she spends her time rollerblading, golfing, skiing and travelling as much as possible. In the summer months, she enjoys spending time with her three nieces, Mikailie, Elodie and Kate, who vist from Belgium.

   Misty Lucas

Misty Lucas graduated with honours from Westervelt College in 1998 with her diploma in Legal Administration. She began her career as a Legal Assistant and soon became a Law Clerk in the field of plaintiff's personal injury litigation. Misty also has prior experience in family law and insurance defence. Misty commenced her employment with Judith Hull & Associates in 2003 in the position of Senior Litigation Clerk. She has been actively involved with clients and all aspects of their claims, including Statutory Accident Benefits. Misty works with our clients, health care providers and insurance companies to maximize benefit entitlement, assist with rehabilitation and to resolve disputes with insurers. Misty also works closely with Judith when preparing our clients' files for trial.

Misty became a Licensed Paralegal in October 2008. As a Licensed Paralegal, Misty will continue to represent clients before administrative tribunals, including the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. This will include mediations and arbitrations for statutory accident benefits issues. In addition, Misty represents clients at other administrative tribunals including the CPP disability hearings tribunals and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.

Outside the office
Misty is the Director of Education for the MS Society. During her down time Misty spends her energies with her golden retriever Sydney and border collie Jack. With her husband, they enjoy long walks around the neighbourhood with their dogs. Misty is an avid football fan and enjoys hitting the greens in her spare time.

Gabriel was born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario, and moved to London in 2006. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario in 2009. Prior to attending law school, he completed a B.A. in Psychology from York University.

During his time at law school, Gabriel served as Treasurer of the Student Legal Society. He also acted as President of the Jewish Law Students Association at Western. Gabriel enhanced his legal skills through participation in a number of moots and Community Legal Services.


Outside the office
Gabriel is an avid musician who enjoys playing guitar, singing and writing music. He also enjoys travelling, painting, playing basketball and squash, snowboarding and cycling throughout London.

   Joyce Thomas

Joyce moved to London from Kettle Point to pursue post-secondary endeavors at the University of Western Ontario in 2002. Before attending law school she completed an Honours B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario.

While at law school, Joyce worked as a student supervisor at Community Legal Services. During her time at the clinic Joyce not only provided legal services in criminal, civil, and employment law; she also led community seminars on Human Rights, Provincial Offences, Consumer Protection, and the Landlord Tenant Board. As a Pro-Bono student Joyce worked at Neighborhood Legal Services on Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program appeals. Upon graduation Joyce was granted Western Law’s highest award for Advocacy.


Outside the office
Joyce enjoys traveling across Ontario to spend time with family and friends while relaxing in the outdoors. While at home Joyce enjoys working on black and white sketches, reading, and cooking new dishes.

Deborah is an accomplished and results-driven professional with an 18+ years demonstrated record of success in managing the administration and operational services for a medium-sized office of a nationally and globally recognized law firm. Deborah is also a change leader capable of identifying and driving tangible, value-based improvements and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels. During her career in law office management, Deborah has successfully planned, implemented and facilitated numerous changes to operations, systems and practices. She brings exceptional analytical and project management skills to the firm.

Karen is a Senior Litigation Clerk in our office. She is one of our front line leaders. Not only does she provide the necessary support for Judith Hull and the associate lawyers of the firm, Karen is a vital part of the Client Services Department. Her priority is to our clients and their needs. In addition to Karen's communication with our clients on a daily they, she assists in preparing legal documents, responding to inquiries, obtaining and organizing various productions for examinations for discovery, trials and mediations.
